9am – 11am – Pines Kid’s Club ‘Animal Treasures’ Workshop

The Pines Kid’s Club presents our March event, Wednesday 9th March ‘Animal Treasures’ Workshop.

Designed specifically for 2-5 year olds, children can get up close and personal with all your favourites from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary over two 45 minute workshops.

Join our Birthday Celebrations on Wednesday 9th March starting from 10.00 am near Kmart.

10am – Welcome to Country

A ‘Welcome to Country’ is a small, formal ceremony where Traditional Custodians usually Elders welcome people to their land. It involves a statement or speech made in Aboriginal dialect, translated to those in attendance, to show respect for the Traditional Custodian.

10.15am – Cupcake Give-away

Following the Welcome to Country join Centre Manager Hilary Jacobs and a number of VIP guests to share in the giveaway of 350 Pines Birthday cupcakes.

10.15am – 12.15pm – Dinosaurs Roaming

After the Welcome to Country keep an eye out in the malls for some roar-some immersive dinosaurs visiting until midday. The dinosaurs are visiting from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Extinction

11am – 1.00pm – Indigenous Rock Painting Workshops

Children will be provided with rocks, paints, stencils and cotton tips to create their inspiration piece. The sessions will run for approximately 30 mins with up to 20 children per session sessions run from 11.00am until 1.00pm. Children can take their rock artwork home with them.

11am – 2pm – Roaming entertainment

Roving stilt walker and hula hooper
