The Pines Shopping Centre is celebrating DOGTOBER!
Visit the Centre on Thursday 20th and Saturday 22nd of Dogtober to meet Super-puppy Oska and supPAWt Assistance Dogs Australia. Oska will have ‘mini-me’ toy puppies for ‘adoption’, Christmas cards and other super-cute puppy merchandise.
Have you ever thought about puppy raising or puppy sitting? Our friendly volunteers will be able to answer any questions about helping a puppy on it’s journey to provide freedom and independence for someone with a disability.
Assistance Dogs Australia is a national charity that trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people living with physical disabilities, autism, post traumatic stress and dementia. Each dog requires an investment of two years training at a cost of $30,000, and they are placed completely free of charge with their recipient, providing up to ten years of life-changing support.
