To close out the 2023 School Rewards campaign, staff and students were invited to a morning tea at Shingle Inn where Centre Manager Hilary Jacobs presented each school with a cheque for their share of the $50,000.

Thanks to a tremendous community effort, this year’s first place winner was Currumbin Community Special School receiving $16,000 towards a brand-new playground.

The donation is part of The Pines Elanora’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community.

Over the years, the Shopping Centre has supported various community groups, including Palm Beach Currumbin Lions Auxiliary Club and local sporting clubs. Centre manager, Hilary
Jacobs said “We started this campaign in 2021 when we heard how difficult the schools were finding fund raising due to Covid. This has been a great way to connect our shoppers
and our schools together and for The Pines Elanora to give back to our school community.”
